ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Two downtown bars are closed pending liquor license renewals by the St. Cloud City Council.
One sign, posted on the door of McRudy's Pub, says the establishment will be closed until further notice.
KNSI has received reports that Rum Runners, another bar under the same ownership, is in the midst of the same indefinite closure.
Earlier this year, city staff recommended the city council not renew the bars' liquor licenses due to deliquencies and citations. McRudy's has a deliquent water bill and one infraction related to liquor license requirements.
Rum Runners was cited earlier in the year for unlawful operation of entertainment devices, being over-capacity and serving alcohol to a minor.
The St. Cloud City Council will discuss the issue during their June 24th meeting.
