ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - McRudy's Bar in downtown St. Cloud lost its liquor license due to repeated violations, but now the business has applied for another liquor license as it plans to open under new owners and a new name.

The bar would be called the Pickled Loon, and the application for the liquor license was filed Wednesday.

The owners hope to have food, drinks and live music, and hire about two dozen employees.

McRudy's and RumRunners both closed last month after the city council denied their request for liquor license renewals.

Both bars have beed cited for overcrowding, delinquent bills, selling to minors and overcrowding.

The city council will hold a public hearing and then vote on the liquor license request for the Pickled Loon. That's a process that takes about 45 days.
