TODD COUNTY, Minn. (KNSI) - A man was treated and released after being hit by a hunter's bullet in the leg.

The Todd County Sheriff's office says Bruce Barthel was taken to the St. Gabriel's Hospital emergency room just before 4pm yesterday to be treated for a gunshot wound to his right thigh.

Barthel was reportedly in his yard in rural Burtrum when a nearby group of deer hunters shot at a deer. Barthel says he heard what he believes to have been a slug ricocheting off of something before it struck him.

The wound was not life-threatening.
