Man Threatens Murder, Arrested in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) – Residents of a St. Cloud apartment building called police to report a man shouting at and threatening residents Tuesday night.

Police responded to the building in the 400 block of 33rd Avenue North where they found 34-year-old Nehemiah Mathews of St. Cloud outside of the apartments. Reports indicate Mathews had been shouting derogatory and racial slurs while at the victims' door. He also threatened to kill four occupants of the apartment, as well as burn their vehicles.

Mathews failed to obey orders at the scene and was tazed. He was treated for minor injuries at St. Cloud Hospital and then booked into the Stearns County Jail for terroristic threats, fourth-degree racially biased assault, and obstructing the legal process.
