ROUND PRAIRIE, MN (KNSI) - A Melrose man was injured Thursday when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer.
The Todd County Sheriff's Office says Bismar Castellon was driving his car on Highway 287 in Round Prairie Township when it happened. The vehicle went into the ditch, and heat from the engine started a grass fire.
Castellon was taken by ambulance to the Long Prairie Hospital to be treated for injuries suffered from the accident. Todd County deputies and the Long Prairie Fire Department responded to the call.
