ST. AUGUSTA, Minn. (KNSI) - One man was shot, and another two are in custody, following what is believed to have been a robbery Wednesday morning in St. Augusta.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says officers were called to a complaint at 23692 69th Avenue around 11:30 am. Deputies found that a 33 year-old man had been shot at least once and needed medical treatment.

Witnesses were able to provide accurate descriptions of the two suspects and the vehicle they used to leave the scene. Officers found that vehicle a short time later in St. Joseph and apprehended the two suspects in question.

The sheriff's office says they think the shooting resulted from a struggled during a robbery, and they don't believe there are any other suspects at large.

The victim's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and the investigation continues.
