ELK RIVER, Minn. (KNSI) - An Elk River man will spend three decades behind bars for First and Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says 30 year-old Wayne Leistico was sentenced last Friday, and will serve the statutory maximum sentence.

An investigation into Leistico began in August when a family member reported discovering a video of the man engaged in sexual activity with a seven year old.

Leistico was taken into custody at that point, and search warrants were then executed in both Sherburne and Anoka Counties.

Those investigations turned up over 1,200 suspected pornographic images of children.

Leistico also awaits possible charges in Federal Court for possession and manufacturing of child pornography.
