ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A St. Paul man has pleaded guilty to first-degree
premeditated murder for killing and dismembering his wife.

Thirty-five-year-old Steven Johnson killed 32-year-old Manya Johnson after she
said she was leaving him and taking their 18-month-old son. He was drinking on
Jan. 6  when he shot her in the head with a handgun he stole from her father's
house. He then cut up her body with a saw, put the pieces in several plastic
containers and stashed them in a friend's garage in White Bear Lake.

Johnson was sentenced to life in prison after telling the court there was
nothing he could to do make things better. The Star Tribune reports he said
saying sorry will never be enough, and he'll live with the regret the rest of
his life.
