GRAFTON, N.D. (KNSI) A Minnesota man is accused of forcing his girlfriend and her daughter to stand along a North Dakota highway in extreme cold.
Forty-four-year-old Scott Boothman of Warroad faces three felonies including terrorizing and two misdemeanors including drunken driving.
The Walsh County Sheriff's Department says Boothman was driving with his girlfriend and her daughter from Warroad to Grand Forks Sunday when he allegedly forced them to stand outside at an Interstate 29 exit near Grafton. The wind chill that night was as cold as 30 degrees below zero. Sheriff Lauren Wild says the woman and girl were not injured by the cold.
Boothman was arrested after a chase that authorities say reached speeds of 100 mph.
