SHOREWOOD, Minn. (AP) — A 58-year-old man found dead in a freezer in Shorewood has been identified.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office identified the man as Eddie Sole.

His 29-year-old live-in girlfriend, Jetaun Wheeler, was charged Aug. 26 with second-degree murder in the killing. She's accused of beating him with a closet rod, wrapping him in plastic and duct tape, then hiding him in a freezer in the garage because he was trying to break up with her.

Police believe he may have been frozen for weeks before the Aug. 21 discovery at the home, about 18 miles west of Twin Cities.

His exact cause of death in under investigation by South Lake police and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
