KELSEY, Minn. (AP) St. Louis County sheriff's deputies say a man on his way to work was killed when he drove his SUV into a train at a foggy railroad crossing.
The victim is identified as 28-year-old Adam John Sharp of Kelsey.
Authorities say Sharp crashed into the side of a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train that was stopped at a crossing in Kelsey for mechanical trouble Wednesday.
Sheriff's officials say the crash happened about 6 a.m. in foggy conditions. The crossing is marked only with a stop sign.
Citizens at the scene performed CPR until medical personnel arrived. Sharp was pronounced dead at the scene.
