ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Police say a convicted robber released from prison just last month carjacked three vehicles and kidnapped two people before crashing one of the cars in St. Paul.
They say the crime spree began around 3 a.m. Wednesday at a Foley grocery store. Brandon Stark is accused of carjacking a worker at knifepoint, driving to Minneapolis and then letting the employee go.
He's accused of carjacking another vehicle Thursday evening. Police say the woman inside that car escaped with her keys.
The 39-year-old Stark then allegedly stole another car that police say he crashed in St. Paul after an officer chased him. He's charged with aggravated first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and fleeing an officer.
Stark was wanted on a parole violation. He served six years in prison for aggravated robbery.
