ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - A scuffle over a cell phone landed a St. Cloud man in jail.
St. Cloud Police Sgt. Jason Burke says the story began when officers were called to a theft complaint on Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m. in the 300 block of 25th Avenue North.
When they arrived, the victim, a 44 year old St. Cloud man, informed police that 35 year-old Kenneth Deschon had threatened to find a weapon and use it on him. He also allegedly slapped and threw something at him.
The victim says the incident unfolded as a result of an argument regarding a cell phone purchase. He was reportedly unhurt in the exchange.
Deschon was taken to Stearns County Jail. He faces charges of terroristic threats and 5th degree assault.
