ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A home in St. Cloud was destroyed by fire early Friday morning, and investigators say weather is to blame.

St. Cloud Fire Department Battalion Chief Greg Newinski tells KNSI News the fire at 152 21st Avenue North was called in just before 2:00 am. He says flames were coming out of the basement windows, and there was heavy smoke throughout the home.

Newinski says the fire started when lightning struck a large television antenna tower. The home was unoccupied and there were no injuries. Fire crews were on the scene for about three hours.
