WAITE PARK, Minn. (KNSI) - A local city leader has been elected as the president of the League of Minnesota Cities for 2013-14.
Shaunna Johnson, city administrator for the City of Waite Park, was elected to the post at the League's annual conference in St. Paul yesterday. Johnson has served as Waite Park administrator for the past nine years. Prior to that, she worked as the Planning and Human Resources Director for the City of El Dorado, Kansas.
A graduate of Concordia College of Moorhead, Johnson most recently held the office of first vice president for the league. The league provides advocacy, education, training, policy development, risk management and other services to more than 830 city members.
