Leadership Change on Local School Board

SARTELL, MN (KNSI) - Mary McCabe is out as chairwoman of the Sartell-St. Stephen School Board.

Board members last night voted 4-to-2 to remove her from that position. McCabe voted against the resolution, as did fellow board member Lesa Kramer.

McCabe was removed as chair due to a lack of confidence in her abilities to achieve the school board's vision, and to effectively work with board members and administrative employees. McCabe says she was greatly disappointed in the decision. She's been the board chairwoman since March.

The board elected Dan Riordan as the new chair.
