ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - Multiple people are facing charges in Stearns County District Court, accused of being part of a large-scale drug trafficking operation.
Authorities say the nine arrests are the result of a three-year investigation that has disrupted an ongoing operation to import methamphetamine into Central Minnesota from several states.
More than 40 pounds of meth has been seized during the investigation.
A criminal complaint shows that on March 31, investigators stopped a vehicle in Lyon County, Minnesota that allegedly was being used to transport "pound quantities" of meth to an apartment in the 700 block of 32nd Avenue North in St. Cloud.
A SWAT team executed a search warrant at the apartment and found meth, cocaine and marijuana, according to the criminal complaint.
Also found in the apartment were several items investigators believe are associated with international drug trafficking, including cell phones, passports, large amounts of money and scales and baggies.
The nine men arrested during the three-year investigation are facing multiple felony counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree controlled substance crimes.
They are, Francisco Uribe Nambo-Chacon, Hernando Nambo-Salas, Mauricid Barragan, William Camacho Barragan, Jonathan Woods, David Lee Tyson, Lamont Jermaine Tyson, Terry Eugene Glasgow and Scott Anthony Reiff.
