FOLEY, Minn. (KNSI) Katie Lang is the new Foley Police Chief.

She was hired Tuesday by the city council. Lang is no stranger to police work. She's been working as a police officer in Foley, and has held the job of interim chief since June, following the dismissal of Brant Standridge.

Under a reworked job description, Lang will also serve as Foley's emergency management director.

The council voted not to have Lang work as a probationary employee--as it did with Standridge.
