Lake City police shooting suspect found dead

LAKE CITY, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have found the body of the man suspected of shooting and critically wounding a Minnesota police officer.
Law enforcement entered a house in Lake City and found the body of a man believed to be 25-year-old Alan Sylte Jr. of Hager City, Wis.
After finding the body, authorities advised Lake City schools to end their lockdown and take students home.
The wounded officer is identified as 32-year-old Shawn Schneider. He remains in critical condition.
