(Washington, DC)-- Republicans are opening a new front in their war on the Affordable Care Act.
Congressman John Kline of Minnesota is starting to push the notion that the healthcare overhaul will hurt education because school districts are cutting back on programs and staff members.
Kline chairs the House Education Committee and represents southern suburbs of the Twin Cities.
Under the ACA, any company or public institution with at least 50 workers is required to provide health insurance to everyone working at least 30 hours a week on average, and Kline says he's heard stories about hours being cut to put people under that average.
