ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis was in Germany last week. The mayor was in Ahlen, Germany to visit the manufacturing headquarters of farm equipment manufacturer Geringhoff.
The mayor calls Geringhoff a "well established company" that sells farm equipment all over the world. He says during his trip to Germany he saw a "very impressive operation."
This past summer, Geringhoff announced it would open a North American manufacturing plant in the St. Cloud Airport Industrial Park. That plant will make corn headers that are used at harvest time.
Production at the St. Cloud facility will begin in early 2013. The plant will initially employ about 100 people.
