ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) St. Cloud Public Works Director Jerry Kaeter says most collector streets in town have been cleared of fallen trees from last night's storm.
Kaeter says crews worked on collector streets first, and then will go into residential neighborhoods.
The city of St. Cloud has opened its compost site for residents to take downed trees and branches free of charge. It will be open today (Friday) until 9 pm and again tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 to 5.
Kaeter says this wind storm is similar to one two years ago in St. Cloud in terms of the overall number of trees blown down, but last night's storm is more widespread, coverng virtuallly every part of town.
No injuries were recorded in the storm, which brough thunderstorm winds in excess of 60 miles per hour.
