MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A judge says the wife of former Minnesota Vikings tight end Joe Senser will be tried in Hennepin County.
A defense attorney had asked that Amy Senser's trial on criminal vehicular homicide charges be moved. Attorney Eric J. Nelson cited inflammatory comments against Amy Senser posted on local blogs and websites.
But the Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/GErwHd) reports District Judge Daniel Mabley denied the request Wednesday. The judge's one-page order did not specify why he denied the request but said he would explain before the trial begins April 23.
The prosecution had objected to moving the trial.
Amy Senser has pleaded not guilty in the death of Anousone Phanthavong, who was struck on an Interstate 94 ramp last August as he filled his gas tank with fuel.
