GARNER, Iowa (AP) - A 40-year-old northern Iowa man has pleaded guilty to two charges stemming from a collision that fatally injured a Minnesota bicyclist.

Online court records say written guilty pleas have been entered for Travis Thomas, of Floyd. The two charges are involuntary manslaughter, a felony, and operating while under the influence, a misdemeanor.

The Mason City Globe Gazette says (http://bit.ly/ImmkO5) Thomas had been charged with vehicular homicide and OWI. A hearing is scheduled May 8 for Thomas in Hancock County District Court in Garner.

Authorities say Thomas was driving a sport utility vehicle on U.S. Highway 18 near Britt when he hit 60-year-old Randy Nomeland, of Minneapolis, on July 29.
