ST. CLOUD (KNSI) - Hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage has been caused after someone intentionally poured chemicals into a diesel storage tank.

St. Cloud Assistant Police Chief Sue Stawarski says they're investigating the vandalism. which took place at First Fuel Banks' Lincoln Avenue and Waite Park fill stations on August 16th. 

The unknown chemical in the fuel tank has reportedly affected numerous city and private vehicles.

Stawarski says the damage estimate to city vehicles is in the tens of thousands of dollars. 

First Fuels Banks is now closely working with St. Cloud and Waite Park law enforcement to determine who caused the damage.
