BURNSVILLE, Minn. (AP) - Authorities have confirmed skeletal remains found in a Burnsville park are those of a 61-year-old man missing for a year.

The Hennepin County medical examiner identified the remains as those of Lorenzo Pacheco.

Pacheco also was known as Lorenzo Moreno-Pacheco or Lorenzo Pacheco Orozco.

A man walking his dog through Murphy Hanrahan Park found the remains on April 13.

Pacheco went missing from his home near the park on April 15, 2012. Burnsville police had investigated his disappearance and conducted multiple searches of the park without finding him.

The investigation has been closed.
