ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Today is special election day in part of St. Cloud and the cities of Waite Park and St. Augusta.
Three candidates are on the ballot to fill an opening in House District 14A. Steve Gottwalt held that seat, but he resigned last month, saying a new job he'd taken in the private sector wouldn't allow him the time he needed on his legislative job.
The candidates looking to replace him are Independent Todd McKee, Democrat Joanne Dorsher and Republican Tama Theis.
Polls are open until eight pm.
