ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - When the St. Cloud City Council meets tonight, they'll consider an incentive program for single-family home construction called "Build It in St. Cloud."

The program would offer a 15-hundred dollar reduction in city fees for construction of a new single-family home. Councilman George Hontos is proposing the program, saying it could create jobs and stimulate a home construction sector that hasn't seen much growth recently.

In 2011, St. Cloud issued 26 single-family home building permits. The city council will vote on the proposal after holding a 6 p.m. public hearing at city hall.
