MURDOCK, Minn. (AP) U.S. Highway 12 has reopened near the site of this week's collision between a freight train and a semi carrying anhydrous ammonia in western Minnesota.

The Swift County sheriff's office says the truck and trailer have been removed, but some cleanup remains.

The crash near Murdock Tuesday caused anhydrous ammonia to leak from the semi tanker. Four people were taken to hospitals. Three were treated and released. The semi driver was flown to St. Cloud Hospital where he was in serious condition Thursday.

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe engine hit the tanker and pushed it off the road, causing a rupture and leak.

Although Highway 12 has reopened between Murdock and DeGraff, the Minnesota Department of Transportation says motorists should expect shoulder closures as crews work near the crash scene.
