ELYSIAN (AP) – High winds and heavy rain pounded the south-central Minnesota town of Elysian, disrupting power, knocking down trees and blowing some roofs off sheds.
Le Sueur County Sheriff Tom Doherty said Tuesday damage was moderate and no one was hurt in the fast-moving storm which hit the north side of Lake Francis about 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The National Weather Service estimated winds were in excess of 60 mph. Xcel Energy has restored power to the area.
