ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI)  Straight line thunderstorm winds blew through the St. Cloud area between 2:30 aned 3:00 am Friday packing straight line winds in excess of 60 miles per hour.

 

THe winds blew down large trees. There are power outages across St. Cloud and Stearns and Benton counties, and during the height of the storm, there was street flooding as well with St. Cloud recording more than two inches of rain.

 

There was one report of a tree that crashed through a home on 26th Avenue North in St. Cloud, but no reported injuries.

 

Joe Calderon with the National Weather Service office in Chanhassen says wind speeds were clocked between 60 and 85 miles per hour. He says there's a chance for thunderstorm redevelopment this afternoon, with the chancde that some of those storms could once again become severe.
