ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the St. Cloud area until 8 pm Tuesday.

Temperatures will range from the low to mid 90s this afternoon and will combine with dew points around 70 degrees to yield hazardous heat indices from 97 to 10 2 degrees. 

You should take extra precautoions if you are working our spending time outside. Strenuous activity should be limited to the early morning or evening hours. Wear light weight, loose fitting clothing and drink plenty of water.

The record high for Tuesday in St. CLoud is 97 degrees set in 1901. The normal high is 79 degrees.
