ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The sweltering heat continues across central Minnesota, with St. Cloud setting a record high on Monday for the second straight day. The temperature maxed out at 95 degrees. The heat index soared above 100 across the region, and the heat is going to stick around for awhile.
A Heat Advisory is posted through tonight. The National Weather Service says high temperatures will be in the 80s and low 90s the rest of the week.
The hot weather is impacting schools. St. Cloud Cathedral is dismissing at 1 pm today, tomorrow and Thursday. And a cross country meet featuring area teams in Milaca was postponed due to the extreme heat.
