ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - The rate to ride a Metro Bus in the St. Cloud area could be going up. The Metro Bus Board of Commissioners will hold a hearing next Thursday at 6 pm to discuss the issue.
Under the proposed rate hike, the cost of a fixed route bus fare would go up a dime. A one day pass would increase 50-cents. A seven day pass would go up a dollar, and a one month pass would increase two dollars.
Fares for Dial-A-Ride service would also see a slight increase. If approved, the new fares would take effect October 1st.
The last fare increase for Metro Bus rides in St. Cloud was in 2009.
