COLD SPRING, Minn. (KNSI) A candlelight vigil was held Monday night to honor the work of Cold Spring police officer Tom Decker.
More than 100 people turned out for the vigil outside the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Cold Spring Mayor Doug Schmitz says it marked the start of what he says will be a long healing process for the city.
Decker was shot twice and killed while responding to a call in Cold Spring last Thursday night. His funeral is tomorrow at 11 am at St. John's Abbey and University Church in Collegeville. Visitation is at 4 pm today at St. Boniface Church in Cold Spring.
