SARTELL, Minn. (KNSI) Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held Sunday moring for a new church on the Sartell-St. Cloud border.

Abounding Joy Lutheran Church will break ground on the new 10,000 square foot, $1.7 million building at 11:00 am Sunday.

Pastor Tom Wright says the first phase of construction will be completed by the spring of 2015. It's located at the corner of County Road 120 and Amblewood Drive. 

Abounding Joy Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Congregations in Missions for Christ (LCMC), and was founded in July of 2011.

The congregation currently holds services in the community room of the Boy Scout building on Pinecone Road in Sartell.
