BELGRADE, Minn. (KNSI) Fire departments from Paynesville, Lake Henry, New London and Belgrade fought a large grass fire on the Stearns-Kandiyohi County line Thursday.

The fire was reported shortly before 3 pm, and burned about 240 acres between Regal and Belgrade.

A Minnesota Department of Natural Resources airplane was called in to dump water on the fire. They were able to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby farm.

Crews were on the scene for more than six hours. There were no injuries.
