ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Governor Mark Dayton has chosen a running mate and the new political team will appear for the first time today. Dayton is replacing Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon on this year's ticket after she said she would only serve one term.
The new person wouldn't take office until 2015 if Dayton wins re-election.
Contenders were thought to include his chief of staff Tina Smith and former House Majority Leader Tony Sertich.
