Glenwood woman killed on Highway 29

GLENWOOD, Minn. (KNSI) The State Patrol says a Glenwood woman was killed Monday morning in a crash on Minnesota Highway 29 north of Glenwood.

Sixty two year-old Karen Simmons was northbound on Highway 29 when she was struck by a vehicle headed east on Pope County Road 28.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle is identified as 19 year-old Haley Klimek of Lowry.

Simmons was killed. Klimek was wearing a seat belt and had only minor injuries.

The crash was reported around 7:45 Monday morning.
