Girl Hit By Car in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A 12 year-old girl was taken to the hospital after she was hit by a vehicle while crossing a St. Cloud street Thursday afternoon.

The police department says it happened just after 3:30 at Ninth Avenue South and 11th Street. The girl crossed the street when she was struck by a vehicle making a left turn onto southbound Ninth Avenue.

She was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Room to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle involved was driven by an 18 year-old girl from Cokato. She was cited for failing to yield.
