ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) The St. Cloud School Board met Wednesday night, and talked about alternative funding sources for the estimated $3 million repair bill at Clark Field at Tech High School.
The distirct had been looking at getting that funding through the renewal of an operating levy, but that's no longer an option because the levy won't be voted on this year.
Superintendent Willie Jett says the new option under consideration would have the school distirct use money from the district's current levy--which is in place through 2015--along with money from the district's capital reserve fund for its $1.5 million share of the project.
No decisions were made at Wednesday night's meeting.
Tech did not use Clark Field for varsity football games last fall because of safety concerns due to the deteriorating condition of the facility. Home games were moved Husky Stadium at St. Cloud State.
