ST. PAUL, MN (AP) - A freight train has derailed in St. Paul.

Union Pacific spokesman Mark Davis says five empty cars of one of their trains derailed upright at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. He says it was traveling from Chicago to St. Paul and derailed on tracks owned by Burlington Northern Santa Fe.

No injuries were reported.

Davis expected equipment to be brought in Saturday to place the cars back on the tracks. The train had 114 cars altogether.

In an email, Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokeswoman Amy McBeth said vehicle traffic was not impacted and she expected the tracks to be open later Saturday.

Davis says they are investigating the cause of the derailment.
