Former Goatropers Approved for Liquor License

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - The new owner of the Farming bar formerly known as Goatroapers has been approved for a liquor license.
The Stearns County Board of Commissioners granted Stephanie Jacobs' request during a public hearing at their Tuesday morning meeting.
The bar is slated to reopen under the name "Trappers Pub and Grill" after former Goatropers Bar owner Anthony Thelen was charged with failing to pay income taxes, and for filing phony sales tax returns to the state.
The original complaint mandates that Thelen's liquor license be revoked following any felony or gross misdemeanor charge.
Jacobs' liquor license for Trapper's is scheduled to take effect on April 1st, contignent on the revocation of Goatroper's license.
Stearns County Prosecutors are askingĀ forĀ Thelen receive 23 months in prison. He's scheduled for sentencing in April.
