ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) - A Flood Warning was issued for the Mississippi River in St. Cloud Wednesday morning by the National Weather Service.

The warning was issued while massive flash floods flooded through Duluth.  The National Weather Service issued the warning for the Mississippi River in St. Cloud due to the rising levels affecting the river in both Stearns and Benton counties. The Mississippi River was recorded at about 7.2 feet Wednesday morning. 

Flood stage for the river is 9 feet. 

FLOOD WARNING: Read the National Weather Service alert of a Flood Warning affecting St. Cloud, Stearns County 

The NWS advises no travel through flooded areas whatsoever as the river could reach well over 9 feet by Friday, with a crest of 10.2 feet expected by late Sunday.
