GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (KNSI) A Grand Rapids man is in intensive care at a Duluth hospital after crashing his float plane in Shoal Lake.
The Itasca County Sheriff's Office says rescue crews pulled 71-year-old Gerard Pearson from the partially-submerged plane.
He was the pilot and lone occupant. Pearson was taken to the Grand Itasca Medical Center and later airlifted to Duluth. T
he cause of the crash is still being investigated.
