ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) Two St. Cloud schools briefly went into containment mode Wednesday afternoon for a scare that turned out to be just that--a scare.

North Junior High and Madison Elementary were in containment a little before 3 pm, which means students can move around within a building, but no one can enter or leaving the building.

St. Cloud police say the containment resulted from what was initially a gun complaint.

Neighbors living in the 1000 block of 24th Avenue North thought they heard gunshots and called police. Officers investigated, and it turns out there were no guns being fired. It was kids setting off bottle rocket fireworks in that neighborhood.
