Fireworks at Lake George tonight

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KNSI) A fireworks display over Lake George will usher in the New Year in St. Cloud tonight.

The event--called "Thunder Over the Cloud"--is co-sponsored by Leighton Broadcasting and Optimum Communications Corporation.

St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis will be on hand to do the official countdown to 2013.

Spectators are asked to watch the fireworks show from the east and west sides of Lake George, near the boat house, and in the open area just north of the parking lot.

Organizers are hoping it will become an annual event.
