Fire destroys Paynesville area garage

A garage north of Paynesville was destroyed by fire Monday night.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the fire at the David Ampe residence at 20846 293rd Avenue in Zion Township was called in at 10:09 pm.
Sheriff John Sanner says the garage was not attached to the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Paynesville Fire Department was called out to extinguish the fire.
