ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - The St. Cloud Fire Department was called out just after six last night to a fire at Northern Metal Recycling at 119 6th Avenue Northeast.

The fire was in stacked vehicles that were waiting to be processed for recycling. Employees of Northern Metal helped firefighters by using a front-end loader and two cranes to separate the stacked vehicles so crews could move in closer and get water on the fire.

East Saint Germain Street and Lincoln Avenue were blocked off by police for safety reasons. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 30 minutes. Streets were re-opened just after 8:30.

There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
