Felony Charges May Follow St. Cloud Arrest

ST. CLOUD, MN (KNSI) - A Sauk Rapids man could face felony assault charges after being arrested by St. Cloud police.
Officers were called to a women's shelter about two hours after the alleged assault occurred in the 100-block of Lincoln Avenue Southeast. The 27 year-old victim told police that 31 year-old Matthew Bellanger had assaulted her and taken property from her vehicle and her residence in Sauk Rapids.
Bellanger was taken to the Benton County Jail where he was booked for investigation of felony domestic assault by strangulation and misdemeanor theft.
